Our Story

Founded in 2016 by Nick Hankes and Morgan Sharp, Mint Construction was created to redefine what a modern construction company can be. As top talent moved toward dynamic careers in tech and sales, Nick and Morgan set out to build something different—an innovative, people-first organization that elevates the construction industry.

Construction blends technology, creativity, and craftsmanship within a culture designed to attract and empower exceptional talent, offering a fully integrated approach that spans architecture, branding, interior design, and construction to create “perfect spaces” that matter.

Events

At Mint Construction, we celebrate milestones that reflect our dedication and craftsmanship. Highlights include groundbreakings that mark the beginning of new projects, a memorable golf event at the ranches where we designed the event space, and proudly winning an award for our KILN PROVO building in 2023. These events are a testament to the hard work and passion our team puts into every project, making every achievement feel even more rewarding.

Giving Back

This project involved partnering with the Full Center for Housing to completely remodel a family’s home. Our team and subcontractors—Blackburn Build, Chipman Roofing, Schoonover Plumbing & Heating, JT Electric, Temperature Difference, and Fisher Painting Inc.—each contributed their expertise for a week to ensure the family received exceptional care.

Building wooden car toys from scrap wood for children in need, addressing a gap for the 500 million children who have never had a toy.

Making and donating tie blankets for cancer patients, which were crafted at our office and personally delivered to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

MiNT teamed up and donated to Roam Humanitarian to design and construct an education center in Tanzania, Africa. In November 2024, employees, subcontractors’ friends and families traveled to help build this project. While there, Mint also had the opportunity to build homes for locals, donate mattresses to elders, build water wells, volunteer at orphanages, build a kitchen for a school, and participate in other life changing experiences.

A Pleasure

It has been a pleasure to work with on numerous projects with the Mint Construction pre-construction team. Mint has the experience to bring valid information to the pre-construction meetings in order to hit vital deadlines and keep the project moving on schedule and under budget. The Mint team has shown that they can work on difficult projects and find ways to hit the schedule and budget while also incorporating the needs of the building owner.
